Job Summary

Job Title: Field Superintendent/ Assistant Project Manager (West Coast FL)
Overview: As a Field Superintendent you will oversee and coordinate daily construction activities on-site ensuring projects are completed safely on time and within budget. You will be responsible for managing a team of workers subcontractors and suppliers while maintaining a high standard of quality and compliance with all relevant regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Project Management: Lead and manage construction projects from start to finish ensuring adherence to project schedules budgets and specifications.
  2. Team Leadership: Supervise and coordinate the activities of construction workers subcontractors and other personnel on-site. Provide guidance motivation and support to ensure a cohesive and productive team environment.
  3. Safety Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols and regulations promoting a culture of safety awareness and accountability among all team members.
  4. Quality Assurance: Monitor and inspect work progress to ensure compliance with design specifications quality standards and contractual obligations.
  5. Resource Management: Coordinate and oversee the procurement of materials equipment and tools necessary for construction activities. Manage inventory and optimize resource allocation to maximize efficiency.
  6. Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact between project stakeholders including clients architects engineers and regulatory agencies. Communicate project progress challenges and solutions effectively and professionally.
  7. Problem Solving: Identify potential issues or conflicts on-site and implement proactive solutions to minimize disruptions and delays. Resolve disputes or conflicts in a timely and diplomatic manner.
  8. Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed project documentation including daily reports progress photos change orders and as-built drawings.
  9. Budget Management: Monitor project expenditures and costs ensuring adherence to budgetary constraints. Review and approve project expenses invoices and subcontractor payments.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Field Superintendent or similar role in construction management.
  • Extensive knowledge of construction processes methods and materials.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a diverse team.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to resolving challenges.
  • Solid understanding of safety regulations and procedures in construction.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g. OSHA 30-Hour First Aid/CPR) are advantageous.
