Summary of Duties:
The Electrical Field Superintendent is responsible for overseeing and directing field operations for commercial industrial and/or service electrical construction projects. This role provides leadership to field personnel ensures projects are completed safely and efficiently and drives productivity quality scheduling and workforce coordination across assigned projects. The Electrical Field Superintendent serves as the primary field leader and works closely with project management clients general contractors subcontractors and field leadership to ensure successful project execution.
Primary Responsibilities:
Oversee daily field operations for assigned electrical construction projects
Lead and coordinate field teams
Ensure manpower is allocated appropriately to meet project schedules and production goals
Monitor field productivity and implement corrective actions when necessary
Ensure projects are completed safely on schedule within labor budgets and in accordance with company quality standards
Review project schedules drawings specifications and manpower needs regularly
Coordinate with project managers regarding labor projections material needs schedule updates and project risks and delays
Assist in resolving field-related technical and operational issues
Enforce company safety policies and OSHA requirements on all job sites
Conduct safety meetings audits and jobsite inspections
Ensure all electrical installations comply with NEC local codes and project specifications
Promote a culture of quality workmanship and accountability
Mentor and develop field leadership personnel and apprentices
Assist in evaluating employee performance and identifying training needs
Promote teamwork professionalism and strong communication throughout the field team
Participate in hiring recommendations and workforce planning as needed
Coordinate activities with general contractors owners inspectors vendors and other trades
Participate in project meetings and provide updates regarding field progress and operational needs
Maintain clear communication between field teams and office/project management staff
Support resolution of scheduling conflicts inspection issues and operational challenges
Monitor labor hours production tracking and field efficiency
Assist in material planning equipment coordination and site logistics
Forecast manpower and staffing requirements for upcoming work phases
Support implementation of project recovery or acceleration plans when needed
Qualifications:
Minimum 710 years of commercial electrical construction experience
Minimum 35 years of field leadership experience as a Foreman General Foreman or Superintendent
Strong knowledge of:
Commercial and industrial electrical systems
NEC and local electrical codes
Construction sequencing and scheduling
Jobsite safety standards and OSHA requirements
Proven ability to lead multiple crews and large-scale field operations
Ability to read and interpret blueprints specifications one-lines construction schedules
Strong leadership communication and organizational skills
Valid drivers license with acceptable driving record
Journeyman or Master Electrician license
Accountability:
Comply with all company policies and procedures.
Prompt punctual and regular attendance during core business hours in an office environment currently located in Denver including a reliable means of transport to and from work. Ability to occasionally travel between corporate offices and job sites within the Denver Metro Area during work hours.
All employees are accountable for safety and health and are empowered to stop work if an unsafe condition is present. Employees should immediately notify their supervisor so that the hazard may be corrected.
Minimum Physical Requirements:
Ability to work in active construction environments
Frequent standing walking climbing bending kneeling and lifting
