Field Service Team Leader- Hitachi Energy NAM Grid Integration

Hitachi Energy Grid Integration is hiring a Field Service Team Leader to support our growing North America Service business. This position is responsible for managing the Field Service Team and delivering our Service offerings across United States and Canada. Our Service portfolio includes Extended Warranty Service Contracts Break Fix Repair Upgrades Spare Parts 24/7 Phone Support and Cyber Security for our installed base consisting of SVCs / STATCOMs / SeriesCaps and HVDC Systems.

You will work as part of our Grid Integration organization which serves utility industrial renewable energy and other customers with products and services to help transport electricity efficiently and reliably while maintaining power quality and control.

Job Description

Field Service Team Leader typical duties include:

  • Safety - Promote and ensure a strong safety culture and safe execution of work
  • People management grow develop and motivate the team
  • Strategy resource expansion to support growing customer base
  • Quality - identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities
  • Execution - plan and manage Field Service resources and activities
  • Tracking - manage and report on Field Service backlog and status
  • Provide tender cost estimates for field activities
  • Ensure timely feedback of service activities to business partners

Qualifications:

  • Must be fluent in English with French and Spanish language a plus
  • Experience leading troubleshooting events and teaching technical abilities to teams
  • Bachelors degree and minimum of eight (8) years of demonstrated experience in a combination of electrical systems and service
  • Experience with maintenance procedures
  • Knowledge of HVDC / FACTS systems and their grid application
  • Demonstrated experience in safe work practices
  • Working knowledge of commercial and legal terms and conditions
