What Youll Do
Install troubleshoot maintain and repair PLC SCADA HMI and industrial control systems supporting municipal water and wastewater facilities.
Perform startup commissioning testing and field service on new and existing automation systems.
Diagnose and resolve electrical instrumentation communication and control system issues.
Support PLC programming modifications and SCADA troubleshooting as needed.
Read and interpret electrical schematics control panel drawings P&IDs and technical documentation.
Provide on-site and remote technical support to municipal customers.
Train operators and maintenance personnel on automation systems and equipment.
Build strong long-term relationships with customers by delivering exceptional technical service.
Travel to customer sites throughout the region to support installations upgrades and emergency service calls.
This is a customer-facing Field Service Engineer position supporting municipal water and wastewater infrastructure throughout the Mid-Atlantic region.
Minimum Qualifications
Associates or Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering Engineering Technology Automation or a related technical discipline (or equivalent industry experience).
Three to five years of experience supporting industrial automation or control systems in a field service manufacturing utility or systems integration environment.
Experience troubleshooting PLC-based control systems.
Ability and willingness to travel to customer locations throughout the region.
Strong troubleshooting communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work independently while managing multiple service priorities.
