Job Summary

As a Field Quality Manager you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our projects meet the highest standards of quality and excellence. You will be responsible for implementing quality management systems conducting rigorous quality checks and overseeing the continuous improvement of all processes on-site. This position requires a meticulous eye for detail strong organizational skills and the ability to work collaboratively with various teams to uphold our commitment to delivering superior results.

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Implement comprehensive quality management systems to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Conduct thorough quality checks at various stages of the project lifecycle to identify and address any potential issues.
  • Oversee the continuous improvement of all processes utilizing feedback and data to enhance overall quality.
  • Collaborate with project teams to establish and maintain quality benchmarks ensuring all deliverables meet or exceed client expectations.
  • Prepare detailed quality reports and documentation presenting findings and recommendations to senior management.
  • Train and mentor field staff on quality standards and best practices fostering a culture of excellence within the organization.
  • Stay current with industry trends and advancements integrating new quality management techniques and tools as appropriate.
  • Other duties as assigned
Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Strong understanding of quality management systems and industry standards.
  • Excellent analytical skills for conducting thorough quality checks and identifying potential issues.
  • Proficiency in continuous improvement methodologies and data-driven decision-making.
  • Effective collaboration skills to work with project teams and establish quality benchmarks.
  • Strong communication skills for preparing detailed quality reports and presenting findings to senior management.
  • Experience in training and mentoring staff on quality standards and best practices.
  • Ability to stay updated with industry trends and advancements.
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to excellence.
  • Problem-solving skills to address quality issues promptly and effectively.
  • Adapt at reading blueprints and verifying dimensional data using various inspection equipment such as calipers go/no gauges tape measures transit level etc.
Education/Experience:
  • Trade School and/or Two-Year Degree
  • Documented 5 years in the construction industry at/or beyond Assistant Superintendent or Field Engineer level
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Advanced degrees or certifications such as Six Sigma Lean or ISO Lead Auditor are highly desirable and can be a distinctive advantage.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a quality management role preferably within the same industry is essential to ensure the candidate has the requisite knowledge and expertise.

Travel Requirements:

  • Flexibility to travel on short notice for urgent business needs to attend meetings trainings and events.â
  • Maintain a professional demeanor and appearance during business trips.â
  • Compliance with company travel policies and procedures.â
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to sit stand and walk for long periods of time.
  • Ability to use a computer phone printer scanner and other office equipment.
  • Visual acuity for detailed work and computer useâ
  • Ability to lift carry and move up to 25 pounds of files documents and materials.
  • Ability to stand or walk for long periods of time on uneven surfaces as seen on job sites
  • Ability to efficiently climb ladders and/or stairs
  • Ability to wear all required PPE
  • Must be able to work in heavy construction environments with associated safety hazards and easily identify risks
TravelRequirements:
  • Travelwith in contiguous United States and Hawaii Flexibility totravelon short notice for urgent business needs to attend meetings trainings and events.
  • Flexibility totravelfor extended periods of time including all 7 days of the week.
  • Travelrequirementis at least 75%
  • Maintain a professional demeanor and appearance during business trips.

PhysicalRequirements:
  • Ability to sit stand and walk climb stairs and move around active construction sites for long periods of time.
  • Ability to use a computer phone printer scanner and other office equipment.
  • Ability to lift carry and move up to 25 50 pounds of files documents and materials as needed.
  • Visual acuity for detailed work and computer use.
  • Ability to wear all required PPE.
  • Ability to work as/when needed includes all 7 days of the week days or nights.
  • Ability to work in varied site conditions including outdoor conditions cold or warm environments and active general industry or construction areas.
