Field Procurement Manager
Play an integral role in ensuring successful project execution by leading field-based procurement activities that directly impact project safety schedule cost and operational performance. As Field Procurement Manager you will serve as a critical link between suppliers project teams construction organizations and corporate procurement functions ensuring equipment materials and services are delivered where and when they are needed to maintain project momentum.
This role combines procurement leadership supply chain expertise commercial insight and project delivery experience within a dynamic construction environment. You will influence project outcomes by proactively managing procurement risk coordinating supplier performance and ensuring alignment between engineering procurement construction and logistics activities. Through strong stakeholder engagement and execution-focused leadership you will help deliver safe predictable and successful project outcomes.
Purpose of the role
The Field Procurement Manager is responsible for leading field procurement activities and coordinating the procurement expediting logistics supplier performance and material delivery processes that support project execution. You will oversee procurement personnel and serve as the primary procurement representative at the project site ensuring procurement strategies and supply chain activities align with project objectives schedules budgets and customer requirements.
Working closely with Engineering Construction Project Controls Logistics Expediting Quality and Supplier organizations you will provide leadership and direction to ensure materials equipment and services are procured expedited and delivered in accordance with project priorities. You will play a key role in identifying supply chain risks resolving procurement challenges and supporting continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen project and business performance.
You will be responsible for:
- Leading field procurement activities to support safe efficient and successful project execution.
- Managing procurement teams and coordinating purchasing expediting logistics and material management activities at the project site.
- Supporting the development and implementation of project procurement strategies aligned with project schedules budgets commercial objectives and customer requirements.
- Coordinating engineering deliverables supplier documentation manufacturing schedules and procurement activities to ensure timely delivery of equipment and materials.
- Overseeing supplier performance and monitoring manufacturing progress delivery commitments and supply chain risks.
- Leading supplier engagement activities and serving as the primary procurement interface between suppliers project teams construction organizations and stakeholders.
- Identifying procurement risks and developing mitigation plans to minimize impacts to project cost schedule quality and execution performance.
- Collaborating with Engineering Construction Project Controls Logistics Quality and Expediting teams to support integrated project delivery.
- Monitoring procurement status critical path equipment deliveries material availability and procurement performance metrics.
- Supporting commercial evaluations supplier negotiations contract administration activities and award recommendations.
- Reviewing procurement reports forecasts supplier schedules and delivery performance to provide timely updates to project leadership.
- Resolving complex procurement supplier logistics and material management issues that may impact project execution.
- Providing leadership guidance mentoring and technical support to procurement personnel and project teams.
- Supporting contractor and supplier relationship management initiatives to improve collaboration and delivery performance.
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives that enhance procurement efficiency execution certainty supply chain resilience and project performance.
- Ensuring procurement activities comply with company policies customer requirements contractual obligations ethical standards and regulatory requirements.
- Supporting inventory management field warehousing material control and construction readiness activities as required.
- Assisting with the development and enhancement of procurement systems processes reporting tools and best practices.

What youll bring to the role
You bring a strong combination of procurement leadership supply chain expertise commercial awareness and project execution experience gained through supporting complex capital projects and industrial operations.
- Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management Business Engineering Construction Management Procurement or a related discipline; or an equivalent combination of education and industry experience.
- Typically 10 years of procurement supply chain materials management logistics or project procurement experience.
- Demonstrated experience supporting major EPC EPCM industrial energy chemicals resources infrastructure or manufacturing projects.
- Strong understanding of procurement expediting logistics supplier management and material control processes.
- Experience managing procurement activities related to engineered equipment bulk materials construction materials and field services.
- Proven success leading procurement teams and coordinating cross-functional project activities.
- Strong understanding of project delivery processes and the interface between engineering procurement construction and commissioning.
- Demonstrated ability to identify and manage supply chain risks supplier performance challenges and material delivery issues.
- Experience coordinating manufacturing schedules procurement reporting supplier documentation and project procurement plans.
- Strong commercial and contractual awareness including supplier negotiations contract administration and commercial risk management.
- Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders and develop practical solutions to complex procurement and supply chain challenges.
- Strong analytical planning and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and project demands simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with project teams suppliers contractors and leadership.
- Advanced understanding of procurement systems materials management platforms reporting tools and supply chain technologies.
- Recognized ability to provide technical guidance mentorship and procurement expertise across project organizations.
