Role title:
Field Force Engineer
Reports to:
Field Force Manager
Job purpose:
Drive force behind the deployment and maintenance of Digicels critical infrastructure. By ensuring that Digicels network and technology assets are not only operational but optimized for peak performance in the field.
Key Objectives:
Lead the charge in deploying network infrastructure and technology assets in the field ensuring timely and accurate installations.
Maintain troubleshoot and optimize network equipment and technology assets to ensure uninterrupted operations.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to expand network coverage and capacity meeting the evolving needs of our customers.
Uphold quality standards in field operations to deliver reliable and high-performance network services.
Maintain comprehensive records and documentation of field activities and equipment installations.
Main accountabilities:
Execute network infrastructure deployments in the field including but not limited to base stations antennas and related equipment.
Conduct routine maintenance inspections and troubleshooting of network assets ensuring their continued reliability.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute network expansion projects optimizing coverage and capacity.
Adhere to quality control measures in field operations ensuring the highest standards of performance and reliability.
Maintain detailed records of field activities including equipment installations maintenance logs and inspection reports.
Qualifications knowledge & experience:
A bachelors degree in Information Technology Computer Science or a related field is typically required.
Demonstrate a minimum of 5 years of experience in field operations ideally within the telecommunications industry.
Exhibit technical expertise in deploying maintaining and troubleshooting network infrastructure and technology assets.
Maintain a strong focus on safety protocols and practices in field operations.
Understand fundamental networking concepts and equipment.
Functionalskills and abilities:
Problem Solver: Possess excellent problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve field-related issues effectively.
Effective Communicator: Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with cross-functional teams and vendors.
