Were looking for a Field Engineer to support our growing Field Operations team. Working alongside the Superintendent and other project team members youll help coordinate daily construction activities promote jobsite safety maintain project documentation and support the successful execution of projects across the United States. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on field experience while developing your construction management and leadership skills.
- Demonstrate and promote a strong commitment to GBAs Health and Safety Program.
- Assist with Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) safety reviews and training initiatives.
- Support the supervision and coordination of subcontractors and vendors.
- Order materials and schedule deliveries to align with project schedules.
- Prepare detailed work plans and work packages.
- Assist with quality assurance equipment scheduling and the interpretation of project drawings and specifications.
- Verify quantity calculations and support field surveying and layout activities.
- Compile and process labor timesheets while maintaining accurate project records.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external project stakeholders.
- Attend project meetings and support additional project needs as assigned by project leadership.
- Travel to and from job sites as needed to support field operations.
- Operating a motor vehicle on behalf of the company as an essential function of the role.
- Bachelors degree in construction management engineering or a related field with 1-4 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- OSHA 30-hour certification.
- First Aid/CPR certification preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Word Excel and Outlook.
- Strong organizational time-management and attention-to-detail skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to adapt to changing jobsite conditions project scopes and team dynamics.
- Initiative dependability and a team-oriented mindset.
- Interest in pursuing learning and professional-development opportunities.
- Basic understanding of emotional intelligence and its impact on yourself and others.
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to climb ladders scaffolding and stairs.
- Comfort working outdoors in varying weather conditions including heat cold precipitation and wind.
- Ability to work in confined spaces and environments with typical construction-site noise levels.
- Ability to wear and properly use required safety equipment and personal protective equipment.
- This position requires full-time travel to project sites.
- Must possess and maintain a valid drivers license and an acceptable driving record.
