Supports administration implementation and compliance monitoring of the state and federal programs grants. Maintains relationships with external grant managers and program officers of funding bodies. Compiles financial and non-financial data for the preparation of internal reports compliance reports and grant or federal programs expenditures.
Assists with the development of creative and innovative program initiatives grant proposals continuous improvement plans and action plans.
Qualifications:
Masters degree preferred from an accredited college or university
Alabama State Department of Education Administrative Certificate preferred
At least three years successful teaching experience required
Experience in working with federal programs preferred

Essential Functions:
Monitor the effectiveness of appropriate compliance and fiscal controls for program development and grants.
Support coordination of the federal programs activities with all instructional programs grants and state initiatives to enhance academic achievement at all grade levels.
Work with Federal Programs Coordinator to prepare monitor report and evaluate federal programs budgets program applications and inventories in accordance with state and local regulations.
Collaborate with the district team to write and submit grant applications on behalf of the school system.
Research grant opportunities.
Comply with grant administration policies and procedures in accordance with state local and federal regulations.
Assist in performing various general grant and federal programs administration functions such as budget amendments plan change etc.
Deliver training and/or orientation as needed.
Work with Federal Programs Coordinator teachers parents district instructional staff principals and administration in monitoring goals progress and compliance of program development to ensure positive performance and successful implementation.
Ensure overall performance activities and related documentation and reporting are in compliance with program guidance grant requirements and SDE policies and procedures.
Deliver resources support and training to address critical needs as identified through program evaluations to develop and provide high quality educational programs.
Work with the Federal Programs Coordinator to support coordination of the systems federal programs.
Collaborate with parents community agencies businesses schools and state entities to enhance the instructional services provided by federal programs.
Work with the Federal Programs Coordinator to utilize appropriate strategies and problem-solving tools to make effective decisions regarding planning utilization of resources and equitable distribution of resources and service delivery.
Support development of the goals and objectives consistent with and in support of system goals and priorities.
Support local school and system advisory committees as appropriate for the various components of federal programs.
Attend training sessions conferences and workshops as assigned or appropriate to keep abreast of current practices programs and legal issues.
Promote positive collaboration and shared decision-making with system level and local school teachers in the development and implementation of successful federal programs.
Assist with integrating federal programs with school improvement initiatives assessment/accountability activities summer schools extended day programs pre-school programs parent involvement programs grant writing and leadership training.
Participate and/or assists in special projects and perform other duties as assigned.
This position will be subject to the Students First Act of 2011. Madison City Schools reserves the right to fill this position by transfer of a qualified applicant who is already employed by Madison City Schools.
Under the Students First Act of 2011 no credit toward tenure or non-probationary status is earned in the initial school year of employment if the date of hire occurs after September 30.
