THIS POSITION IS 22.5 HOURS A WEEK IN PERSON INCLUDING SATURDAY HOURS

PURPOSE & SCOPE: Family Time Visitation (FTV) Supervisor is a member of the Bridges Homeward Family Support and Stabilization team serving families children and youth referred by the Department of Children and Families or other community providers. The Family Support and Stabilization Program provides a range of services aimed at skill-building for parents and youth strengthening family relationships and building a network of community supports and resources in order to promote a safe stable home life.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provides supervision and oversight of weekend family time visitation at our Cambridge office.
  • Manages intake case assignments and parent orientation for weekend FTV participants.
  • Welcomes birth and foster families to the office and directs them to appropriate space.
  • Provides FTV Coaching for Coach when on break or out sick
  • Intervenes and enforces rules and policies as needed.
  • Monitors paperwork completion and updates to DCF
  • Primary contact for parents while scheduling/confirming visitation. This includes some weekday availability (approx.. an hour on Friday prior to visitation)
  • Attends weekly supervision with FSS Program Director (this occurs during week day hours)
  • Provides supervision to FTV coaches on an every other week basis. This includes ensuring that Coaches have the training support and oversight to monitor safe visitation and provide coaching to increase positive parent-child interactions.

REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Associate degree in social work psychology education or a related field or high school degree with 3 years of experience working with parents or children.
  • Experience in providing FTV and/or management strongly preferred.
  • Bilingual strongly preferred
  • Seeking candidates with lived experience in the child welfare system
