As a Family Partner youll use your lived experience as a parent guardian or caregiver of a child with emotional behavioral or mental health needs to provide meaningful peer support to families navigating similar challenges.

Youll partner with families youth Wraparound Specialists service providers and community organizations to help families identify their strengths understand available resources advocate for their needs and work toward their individual goals and vision.

Your work may include:

• Build supportive relationships with parents caregivers and youth through shared experiences encouragement and peer-to-peer support.

• Meet directly with families to identify strengths needs goals and resources that support their family vision.

• Facilitate and participate in Family Team Meetings alongside Wraparound Specialists helping ensure the familys perspective choices and priorities remain at the center of planning.

• Empower families and youth to confidently communicate their needs concerns and goals.

• Connect families with valuable community resources behavioral health services and support systems.

• Collaborate with service providers schools the Department of Children and Families and behavioral health partners to coordinate culturally and linguistically responsive services.

• Maintain meaningful involvement with parents and caregivers throughout their childs planning process.

• Participate in community meetings and family-support initiatives including Federation of Families and Wrap Café.

• Maintain accurate client records and program documentation while protecting confidentiality and following HIPAA requirements.

• Provide transportation for clients when appropriate to support the familys plan of care.

• $500 Sign-On Bonus: Receive $250 after successfully completing 90 days and an additional $250 after completing 12 months of service.*

Were looking for someone who combines lived experience with empathy advocacy resilience and a genuine desire to help other families succeed.

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required

• Associate degree from an accredited college or university preferred

• Successful completion of the Certified Recovery Peer Specialist certification within 12 months of hire required

• Current Certified Recovery Peer Specialist certification through the Florida Certification Board preferred

Your personal experience is an important part of this role. Youll bring:

• Experience as the primary caregiver of a child with a mental or behavioral health disorder whether as a biological adoptive or foster parent/caregiver required

• Experience as a consumer of family services allowing you to successfully advocate for families and connect them with resources required

• Experience navigating behavioral health child welfare and/or juvenile justice systems to support a wellness and recovery-oriented lifestyle required

• Peer-to-peer work or volunteer experience preferred

• Florida Drivers License within 30 days of hire

• Daily access to a reliable insured vehicle

• Believe in the power of using your own experiences to help another family feel understood and supported

• Connect naturally with children youth and families from diverse backgrounds

• Are passionate about family advocacy and empowering caregivers to find their voice

• Listen with empathy while maintaining healthy professional boundaries

• Can remain calm and solution-focused during stressful or sensitive situations

• Understand community resources and how behavioral health and family-support systems work

• Communicate clearly and collaborate effectively with families providers and community partners

• Are organized and able to manage competing priorities documentation and deadlines

• Can work independently while knowing when collaboration and additional support are needed

• Are comfortable using technology and Microsoft Office including Word Excel and Outlook

• Bring energy adaptability and a genuine commitment to strengthening children and families

*$500 sign-on bonus is paid in two installments: $250 following successful completion of the 90-day orientation period and $250 after 12 months of service. The bonus is taxable. Employees who leave CHS within 12 months of their hire date are responsible for reimbursing CHS for the bonus at a prorated amount.
