Fall Production Costume Designer

Liberty High School - Drama Department Costuming Position Job Description

Under supervision of the Technical Director Drama Director and building administration the costumer is responsible for all aspects of designing constructing finding and otherwise creating costumes for the fall play. While this position requires flexibility and the ability to collaborate with all directors and assistant directors and other stakeholder the Costumer is ultimately responsible for enacting a successful vision for the look of the play.

Additional key skills and responsibilities include:

• Familiarity with Liberty theater technical theater and costuming protocols
• Teach costuming skills to a costuming crew of varied interests aptitudes levels of commitment and ages
• Scheduling flexibility including extended hours during tech week and the performances
• Superb communication organizational and logistical skills including flexibility in all areas when plans change
• Interest in and aptitude for education professions desired
