Position Title: Social Media and Marketing Intern
Schedule Details: Monday - Thursday; 12-20 hours per week
Location: Baltimore MD - In-office internship
This is an unpaid internship.
Requirements:
Experience and/or Education:Currently enrolled in a degree program in Marketing Communications Graphic Design Public Relations Media Studies or a related field.
Required:
- Strong working knowledge of major social media platforms (Instagram TikTok LinkedIn Facebook)
- Proficiency in graphic design tools such as Canva Adobe Express or similar platforms
- Comfortable on camera and experienced with short-form video content creation and basic editing
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong eye for detail
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Creative thinker with a proactive self-starter mindset
Preferred:
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop Illustrator InDesign) or similar design software
- Familiarity with social media scheduling tools (e.g. Hootsuite Later Buffer)
- Experience with email marketing platforms (e.g. Mailchimp Constant Contact)
- Familiarity with website analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics)
- Video editing skills (CapCut Adobe Premiere iMovie DaVinci Resolve etc.)
- Prior experience or coursework in marketing healthcare communications or community outreach
- Genuine passion for disability services mental health or social impact work
Clearances: Child Abuse Clearance Criminal clearance and fingerprint-based federal criminal history; Verification that the employee is not on any Medicaid/Medicare Exclusion list.
Note: At the discretion of the Personnel Officer additional related experience and/or education may be substituted instead of the requirements specified under Education and Experience
