Job Summary
Safety Kleen Systems in Metairie LA is looking for a Facility Shipping Coordinator to join their safety conscious team! This team member will be responsible for planning drum/bulk shipments and execution of the shipping paperwork.
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM

Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
- Ensures Health & Safety is the #1 policy by complying with all safe work practices policies and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times.
- Coordinate daily shipping and receiving activities using SAP and internal order management systems ensuring accurate processing of all customers intercompany and military orders.
- Process shipping and receiving documentation for all outbound and inbound orders including pick tickets Bills of Lading (BOL) Certificates of Analysis (CoA) labels shipping packets and required compliance paperwork.
- Confirm and close out orders in SAP upon completion of picking staging and shipments.
- Prepare and assemble all shipping labels and documentation packets for daily outbound orders to ensure on-time compliant shipments.
- Coordinate and process Oronite drum fill orders including daily production scheduling order entry and shipment confirmation.
- Create and manage purchases orders (POs) for Chevron and other customer fills as required.
- Approve schedule and manage all military shipments including daily order approvals carrier coordination compliance documentation and pre-shipment packet preparation.
- Receive carrier information from eShipping prepare military shipment paperwork and coordinate next-day LTL pickups.
- Approve orders and generate pick tickets daily to support warehouse and production operations.
- Schedule all inbound and outbound deliveries ensuring alignment with production schedules carrier availability and customer delivery windows.
- Serve as the front-line shipping window contact by checking drivers in and out verifying load information and ensuring proper documentation is issued to departure.
- Prepare and distribute complete shipment packets to drivers including BOLs CoA labels and any required regulatory or customer documentation.
- Perform daily scanning filing and electronic record retention of shipping and receiving documentation to maintain compliance and audit readiness.
- Process stock transfer orders (STOs) between facilities (e.g. MPO and RPO) and receive prefills and STOs into SAP and internal systems.
- Maintain and update daily operational spreadsheets and reports including KPIs truck schedules and Oronite daily production/shipping reports.
- Communicate shipping production and product issues through Microsoft Teams and coordinate resolution with operations production and logistics teams.
- Monitor shipment status and proactively address scheduling conflicts production delays documentation issues and transportation challenges to minimize disruptions.
- Support site safety DOT compliance and Clean Harbors policies by ensuring all shipping activities meet regulatory and company requirements.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in shipping logistics or transportation coordination within an industrial manufacturing or warehouse environment.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel for tracking shipments updating daily reports and maintaining KPIs or schedules.
- Experience using Microsoft Teams or similar collaboration tools to communicate shipment status production issues and scheduling updates across departments.
- Familiarity with SAP or other ERP systems for order processing shipping confirmation inventory movements and documentation management.
