Summary

You will serve as a FACILITY SERVICES ASSISTANT (OA) in the PUBLIC WORKS DIVISION of MCAS BEAUFORT SC.

Duties
  • You will oversee and manage the screening classification and recording of all incoming work requests for all of the organizations/departments units which number approximately 8000 annually.
  • You will maintain status on all work by preparing repeated automated reports and correspondence.
  • You will prepare correspondence and reports to customers and management relative to work request status shop loading work variances and job status.
  • You will maintain automated and centralized facility history controlled files and the preparation of maintenance reports and work programs.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States drivers license.
  • You must be able to obtain and maintain a favorable adjudication for a Tier 1 background investigation.
  • This position may require some walking standing bending or carrying of light objects such as books files or papers.
  • This position requires the ability to type at least 40 words per minute. Your response to the typing skill question on the Occupational Questionnaire will be used in your qualification determination.
Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-6 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Assisting in the maintenance of record keeping correspondence work order tracking and facilities repair using automated computer systems and customer coordination.
