As the Facilities Manager you will oversee the day-to-day operations and maintenance of our currently operating compounding pharmacy facility. You will be responsible for the upkeep of critical building systems and in an upcoming construction project to expand the facility. You have a strong working knowledge of OSHA regulations and general facility safety protocols and are comfortable managing compliance across both an active production environment and ongoing construction site. You must be able to work autonomously prioritize competing demands and coordinate effectively with contractors vendors and internal teams. This is a hands-on role requiring someone who can troubleshoot facility issues independently while keeping safety and compliance front and center.

**Base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge skills and experience. An annual incentive plan and stock options may be provided as part of the compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits dependent on the position offered.

What you get to do every day

During Buildout:

  • Sit across from the Pharmacist in Charge and our Head of Compounding as the cleanroom vendor as the owners technical voice catching design problems on paper instead of during certification
  • Own the commissioning plan and IQ/OQ sequencing and keep certification testing from getting blocked by open construction items
  • Contract and schedule the independent certifier then drive every finding to documented closure
  • Write the SOPs that will govern the facility for years: monitoring pressure verification filter changes excursion response PM calibration
  • Build the CMMS asset register and spare-parts inventory before go-live
  • Assemble the facility package that walks the Board of Pharmacy inspector through your work

Once were running:

  • Keep the pressure cascade air changes temperature and humidity inside <797> limits continuously provably
  • Make sure semi-annual recertification never lapses and per-shift differential checks are instrumented and defensible
  • Take the 2 a.m. alarm call find the root cause and write the deviation
  • Run change control on anything that touches classified space airflow filtration or pressure relationships
  • Be the person who answers the auditors hardest facility question without flinching

What you bring to the role

  • 7 years managing facilities or engineering in a regulated environment 503A/503B cGMP pharma medical device or hospital cleanroom operations
  • A cleanroom suite you were accountable for that passed <797> or ISO 14644 certification and the specific failures you hit getting there
  • At least one startup expansion or major cleanroom renovation carried from design through certification
  • Real command of BMS/EMS and continuous monitoring including alarm config and data-integrity expectations for GxP records
  • SOP authorship and hands-on work inside a formal deviation/CAPA and change-control system
  • Youve been questioned by a regulator about your records and held up
  • You have the following certifications:
    • CETA CNBT Registered Certification Professional Sterile Compounding Facilities (RCCP-SCF) in good standing
    • EPA Section 608 Universal
    • OSHA 30-Hour General Industry
    • NFPA 70E qualified person within retraining interval

Bonus points

  • Additional CNBT credentials (Cleanroom Testing Fume Hoods)
  • NEBB CPT background or NSF/ANSI 49 field certifier experience
  • BCxA CCP or AABC CxA commissioning credential
  • IFMA CFM or SMRP CMRP
  • Texas TDLR Air Conditioning & Refrigeration registration
  • ASSE 6040 medical gas
  • USP <800> containment externally vented C-SEC negative pressure suites
  • Engineering or industrial technology degree (strong certifications plus a hands-on record can stand in)

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to lift 50lbs
  • Ability to gown and work in classified areas access mechanical rooms rooftops and ladders
