The facilities maintenance technician is responsible for maintenance of equipment machinery buildings and other facility-related duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: |
Performs basic and routine facilities maintenance and repair tasks according to quality and safety standards. Following standard operating procedures and under supervision performs preventative maintenance to building systems and production equipment. Assists in maintaining an attractive and well-kept appearance to the exterior property and building common areas (hallways restrooms etc.). Assist with miscellaneous facilities projects including painting drywall carpentry plumbing equipment set up/reconfiguration and production water systems. Escorts vendors providing access and reporting progress or irregularities. May be assigned after hours duties with short notice. Other duties as assigned. |

Education Qualifications and Skills: |
Generally working under full supervision the Facilities Maintenance Technician 1 possesses a basic understanding of general aspects of the job and has some mechanical maintenance or construction experience. Able to deal with customers and others in a polite and friendly manner. Must be a team player committed to working in a quality environment. |
Work Environment: |
This job operates in a clerical office as well as a manufacturing setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers phones and photocopiers as well as hand and power tools. While performing the duties of this job the employee is frequently exposed to odors fumes dust or airborne particles moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop kneel crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision distance vision color vision peripheral vision depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
