Hours Per Week: 40 hours per week

Schedule: 7am-330pm

SUMMARY:
This position plays a critical role in maintaining a safe clean and functional healthcare grounds environment and is responsible for the upkeep of facility infrastructure grounds and equipment to support patient care staff operations and regulatory compliance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintain hospital grounds including landscaping snow removal and exterior cleanliness.
Safely operate and maintain a range of grounds maintenance equipment- including mowers trimmers blowers and other tools
Basic landscaping- edging pruning and weeding
Snow removal in the winter months Truck with plow Ventrac and hand shoveling
Conduct inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations (e.g. DNV OSHA NFPA).
Assist with environmental services and infection control protocols during repairs and renovations.
Support facility readiness for emergency situations including backup power systems and disaster preparedness.
Coordinate with vendors and contractors for specialized repairs and inspections.
Maintain accurate documentation of work orders inspections and compliance logs.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various indoor and outdoor conditions.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Familiarity with DNV standards and healthcare compliance requirements.
Familiarity with infection control and safety protocols in clinical environments.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints schematics and technical manuals.
Strong communication and customer service skills.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
2 years of experience in building maintenance and grounds/landscaping preferably in a healthcare or institutional setting.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:
Valid NYS Drivers License

PAY RANGE:

The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components. Pay is determined by factors including experience relevant qualifications specialty internal equity location and contracts.
