Fabricator Assembler

We are seeking a skilled Fabricator / Assembler to join our team at the Cedar Park Manufacturing this role you will support the fabrication and assembly of precision-engineered enclosure products from preparing raw materials through final mechanical assembly. You will work closely with Fabrication Welding Paint and Production teams to ensure safe efficient and high-quality manufacturing operations.

• Prepare raw sheet metal for fabrication including measuring marking deburring and material staging.
• Operate fabrication equipment including shears band saws drill presses Time Saver equipment and spot welders.
• Perform spot welding operations per engineering drawings and work instructions.
• Assemble sheet metal enclosures using hardware fasteners hinges latches and gaskets.
• Inspect components for workmanship and dimensional accuracy during fabrication and assembly.
• Follow NOV HSE policies and maintain a clean organized work area using 5S principles.
• Exercise Stop Work Authority for unsafe conditions or quality concerns.
• Support Lean Manufacturing initiatives and continuous improvement activities.
• Assist with material handling and component preparation for fabrication and welding operations.
• Complete production documentation accurately and ensure compliance with engineering standards.
• Perform other work-related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum one (1) year of experience in manufacturing fabrication mechanical assembly or a related industrial environment.
• Proficiency using hand tools and power tools in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to accurately read a tape measure and perform basic dimensional measurements.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings blueprints and work instructions.
• Basic understanding of sheet metal fabrication processes.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to accurately read a tape measure use basic precision measuring tools and maintain attention to detail.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and stand walk bend and work on concrete floors for extended periods.
• Strong teamwork communication and problem-solving skills.
• Commitment to working safely and following all NOV Health Safety and Environmental (HSE) policies.
• Willingness to cross-train in fabrication assembly and other manufacturing operations.
• Ability to pass a background check and pre-employment drug screening.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience operating Time Saver (wide belt sander) equipment.
• Experience performing resistance/spot welding.
• Experience assembling sheet metal enclosures.
• Forklift and/or overhead crane experience or certification.
• Experience working in a Lean Manufacturing or 5S environment.
• Experience using ERP systems such as JDE.
