Sebenza is seeking experienced Field Installation Technicians to support the Federal Aviation Administrations En Route Automation Modernization (ERAM) Program. This mission-critical effort supports the technology infrastructure that powers the National Airspace System and helps ensure the safe movement of aircraft across the United States.

What Youll Do

As a Field Installation Technician III you will work alongside a national deployment team supporting installation and modernization efforts at FAA facilities throughout the United States.

Responsibilities include:

  • Installation of communications and data cabling systems
  • CAT5/CAT6 cable assembly installation and testing
  • Installation of electronic equipment and hardware
  • Equipment verification and validation activities
  • Material receipt and inventory verification
  • Support deployment planning and execution activities
  • Participate in technical meetings and installation reviews
  • Follow detailed installation procedures and site documentation
  • Ensure compliance with FAA and customer safety requirements

These activities support ERAM ES3 EAF500 deployments across multiple FAA locations nationwide.

Required Qualifications
  • 3 to 6 years of relevant field installation experience
  • Experience installing CAT5/CAT6 cabling using RJ45 connections
  • Experience installing electronic equipment in operational facilities
  • Technical Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Must be willing and able to travel continuously throughout the United States
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds
  • Ability to climb ladders and work in equipment rooms
  • Ability to work in low-light operational environments
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Valid Drivers License with Real ID
  • U.S. Citizenship required
  • Ability to obtain and maintain FAA Public Trust suitability clearance

  • Air Traffic Control systems experience
  • Aviation systems installation experience
  • Structured cabling certifications
  • Network infrastructure deployment experience
