Job Summary
PGS Worldwide is seeking F-16 Aircraft Maintenance Technicians in Greenville South Carolina for a one-year onsite contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company. These positions will support F-16 production operations by inspecting troubleshooting repairing overhauling and modifying aircraft systems and powerplants in accordance with established technical procedures and quality standards.
- Experience performing aircraft maintenance repair modification or production-support activities.
- Knowledge of aircraft systems operation and maintenance.
- Experience with aircraft systems including:
- Landing gear
- Powerplants
- Flight controls
- Rigging
- Aircraft movement
- Ability to read and follow safety rules maintenance instructions technical procedures and operating manuals.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair aircraft systems in accordance with established procedures and specifications.
- Ability to work safely around aircraft tooling hazardous materials and production equipment.
- Ability to work 1st Shift 2nd Shift or weekend shift as required.
- Ability to frequently stand walk stoop kneel squat crawl twist and work in or around aircraft.
- Ability to frequently lift push or pull up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to perform repetitive and overhead work.
- Ability to maintain a clean FOD-free work environment.
- Ability to properly handle and dispose of hazardous materials in accordance with applicable procedures.
- F-16 maintenance experience.
- Flightline experience.
- Aircraft production experience.
- Aircraft structures experience.
- Aircraft fuel-cell repair or sealing experience.
- Inspect troubleshoot repair overhaul and modify aircraft systems and powerplants.
- Perform maintenance on landing gear flight controls propulsion systems rigging and related aircraft systems.
- Support aircraft movement and production operations.
- Diagnose mechanical and system-level aircraft issues.
- Perform maintenance and repair work in accordance with written procedures specifications and technical standards.
- Work on and around aircraft in a production-hangar environment.
- Maintain proper FOD controls and workplace cleanliness.
- Use required Personal Protective Equipment.
- Handle hazardous materials and chemicals in accordance with company and government requirements.
- Support additional mission-essential aircraft-maintenance duties as assigned.
- Full-time onsite.
- Must be able to work 1st Shift 2nd Shift or weekend shift.
- Training will occur on 1st Shift before assignment to the final shift.
- 1st Shift: MondayThursday approximately 6:00 AM4:30 PM.
- 2nd Shift: MondayThursday approximately 4:30 PM3:00 AM.
- Possible weekend shift: ThursdaySunday approximately 6:00 AM4:30 PM.
- $32.00$38.00 per hour.
- Overtime eligible.
