Extrusion Operator

3rd Shift - 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM

Position Summary

Oversee correct machine operation quality check and package profile.

Essential Functions and Key Responsibilities

• Assist in line start-up.
• Stack good product in racks.
• Perform quality checks on profile.
• Monitor correct machine operation. Adjust machine for minor problems.
• Keep compound and pigment loaders full.
• Grind profile as needed.
• Keep work area neat and clean.
• Additional duties may be assigned as needed for business purposes.

Qualifications and Skill Requirements

• High School diploma/GED (minimum)
• Six months toone yearrelated experience and /or training; or equivalent combination of education
• Basic computer skills with good working knowledge of Excel and Word software preferred
• Must have good communication and organizational skills
• Ability to multitask
• Be vigilant about safety
• Quality - conscious oriented to excellence

The work environment characteristics described are representative of those encountered while performing the essential functions of this position. Individuals are required to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at designated times and in specified environments in accordance with established safety program requirements. The noise level in the work environment is typically moderate. While performing job duties individuals may occasionally be exposed to moving mechanical parts.

At YKK AP America Inc. pay is only part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. The hourly pay range for this position ranges from $18.27 to $19.05 depending on experience skills and qualifications.
