Required Education and/or Experience
Degree-seeking UA Little Rock students enrolled in classes at the time of application;
Eligible to legally work 20 hours per week in the United States;
Must be ineligible for Federal Work-Study (FWS).
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Electric and Gas Kiln Maintenance;
Kiln Loading and Unloading;
Kiln Shelf Washing and Scraping;
Glaze Mixing;
Clay Mixing;
Sweeping and Mopping the Studio;
Cleaning Sinks and Clay Traps;
Assisting in the day to day operations in the studio.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
The ability to move and lift 50 pounds at a time;
The ability to accurately read scales and measurements;
Knowledge of clay states of dryness and the appropriate time to load a kiln;
Knowledge of how to fire a kiln both gas and electric;
