SEDA-Council of Governments a public development organization serving 11 Central Pennsylvania counties is seeking a full-time Program Manager for the Export Development Program. The Program Manager is responsible for the oversight and growth of the export development program including securing funding providing export counseling and technical assistance to businesses and representing SEDA-COG throughout the region and beyond. The position works closely with businesses state and federal agencies and international trade partners to strengthen export opportunities and economic development initiatives.
Primary responsibilities of the position include:
- Provide export counseling and technical assistance to existing and prospective clients.
- Develop and implement annual program work plans.
- Ensure compliance with funding source requirements and contractual obligations.
- Provide leadership direction and support to program staff.
- Oversee fiscal management reporting billing and contract compliance.
- Identify and pursue new funding partnerships and business development opportunities.
- Cultivate relationships with local state federal and international stakeholders.
- Complete special projects on time and within budget.
- Represent SEDA-COG at meetings events and trade-related activities.
Required qualifications/skills:
- Bachelors degree in International Business or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of five years of experience in an export-related field.
- Strong communication relationship-building leadership and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of international trade practices and export assistance resources.
- Strong public speaking and presentation skills with the ability to effectively communicate technical programmatic or organizational information to diverse audiences including public officials community members board members and professional groups.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities projects and stakeholder relationships.
- Proficiency with budgeting contract administration and program management.
