Experienced Reefer Technician
RSS Mobile Trailer Repair
$30-$45/hour
Location: Romulus/Livonia/metro Detroit area
Job Type:Full-time
Pay:Hourly pay overtime after-hours-call pay
RSS Mobile Trailer Repair is looking for an experienced Mobile Reefer Technician who knowstruck and trailer refrigeration systems.
A successful applicant for this position will have strong experience with:
- Transport refrigeration
- Reefer unit service
- Truck HVAC / auxiliary HVAC
- Trailer refrigeration systems
- Diesel-powered refrigeration equipment
- Knowledge and repair experience with Thermo King SB and Precedent units.
- V-320 units are transit vans also helpful
- Mobile truck service
- Ability to work safety and independently

What Youll Do
- Inspect diagnose repair and service transport refrigeration systems and associated equipment
- Troubleshootand resolve electrical diesel and refrigeration problemson trucks and trailers
- Repair and maintain reefer units truck air conditioning systems trailer refrigeration equipment and related components
- Read interpret and applyelectrical and refrigeration diagrams and schematics
- Accurately document work performed
- Maintain all safety standards for repairs and safe operation of truck and equipment.
Required Qualifications
- 3 years of hands-on mechanical experience intransport refrigeration reefer service truck service.
- EPA 608 Type 2 Certification
- Valid drivers license and willingness to obtain a Chauffeurs License
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Ability to pass a DOT Physical and drug screen
Highly Preferred
- Direct experience withThermo KingorCarrierreefer units
- EPA certification
- Cargo Bull training or certificate or willingness to get trained in this system
- Experience working in a mobile reefer techrole
