About the Company

Our client a private equity-backed industrial services company in the Houston metro area is seeking a dynamic and execution-focused Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead its financial strategy optimize operations and drive value creation. The company is positioned for rapid expansion requiring a finance leader who can scale operations drive profitability and execute strategic growth initiatives in a fast-paced PE-backed environment.

About the Role

As CFO you will be a strategic partner to the CEO and private equity sponsors responsible for financial leadership capital allocation operational efficiency and M&A execution. You will oversee the companys financial infrastructure ensuring the business is positioned for both organic growth and strategic acquisitions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Financial Leadership Develop and execute financial strategies to support growth optimize cash flow and enhance profitability.
  • Operational Finance & Performance Optimization Oversee budgeting forecasting cost control and working capital management to improve financial performance and efficiency.
  • Private Equity Partnership & Value Creation Work closely with PE sponsors to drive EBITDA improvement financial reporting and strategic planning.
  • M&A & Capital Markets Lead financial due diligence deal structuring and integration for acquisitions while managing capital structure and lender relationships.
  • Team Leadership & Development Build mentor and lead a high-performing finance team fostering a culture of financial discipline and continuous improvement.
  • Risk & Compliance Management Ensure adherence to financial regulations reporting standards and internal controls to protect company assets.
Ideal Candidate Profile
  • 15 years of progressive finance leadership experience with prior CFO experience in a private equity-backed industrial services energy or infrastructure-related company preferred.
  • Deep expertise in financial planning & analysis (FP&A) operational finance and M&A with a track record of optimizing financial processes in an industrial services environment.
  • Strong understanding of contract-based revenue models asset-heavy businesses and operational cost structures.
  • Experience working in PE-backed companies driving value creation executing growth strategies and managing leverage.
  • Proven ability to implement scalable systems (ERP/Netsuite preferred) streamline financial processes and enhance reporting.
  • Strong leadership executive presence and ability to influence key stakeholders including investors lenders and operational teams.
  • Experience managing debt financing working capital optimization and cash flow strategies in capital-intensive environments.
  • CPA CFA or MBA preferred.
