Events Coordinator

Sydney R. Marovitz Golf Course located in Chicago IL is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for an Events Coordinator! We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn contribute and grow within a fastâpaced hospitality-focused property organization. Pay Range: $12.92- $14.00 per hour (Eligible for commissions and service charges)

Essential Duties:

• Contactscustomers face-to-face by telephone and/or email to confirm coordinate and update details for scheduled eventsand orparties.

• Details each groups event needs which may include butisnot limitedto:menu planningmeal time and room set

• Conducts facility tours and sight visits for groups

• Tracks guarantees and deadlines based on

• Coordinates withMarketing& Sales department as well asFoodand Beverage department to ensure specified arrangements are carried out as

• Completes projects as directed in relation to the area of

• Assistsin the coordination of department members that may include but is not limited to: Servers Hosts Set-up

• Assistsin monitoring business volume forecast and plans accordingly in areas ofmanpower productivitycostsand other

• Responsible for implementing andmaintainingexcellent service to achieveguest

• Assistsmanager in communicating any changes or new policies and procedures to the

• Ensuresaccurateandtimelyinvoicing for all servicesrendered to include recording events on the POS

Education/Experience:

Associatesdegree (AA) and one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Physical Demands:

Frequently stands walks sitstalksand hears;regularly useshands; regularly reaches with hands and arms; occasionally climbs balancesstoopskneels crouchestastesor upto 20 pounds and occasionallylifts upto 50 pounds.

Environment/Noise:

Occasionallyworksin outdoor weather is moderate.

Certificates/Licenses:

DriversLicense may berequired.

Job Knowledge Skill and Ability Preferences:

• Ability to read and speak English may berequiredin order toperform the duties of the job ( associates maybe requiredto communicate with English speaking customers or co-workers the manuals for the equipment the associates may use are in English).

• Knowledge of software applications such as Microsoft WordExceland POS

• Knowledge of Delphi
