The Events and Engagement Coordinator develops and implements outreach events for the Colorado Business Unit coordinates key activities for the Young Professionals program elevates brand awareness and coordinates our outreach partnerships.

Are you an organized creative and relationship-driven event professional who enjoys bringing people together around a shared mission The Nature Conservancy is looking for an Events and Engagement Coordinator to plan engaging events support volunteer and community outreach and help grow conservation awareness across Colorado.

In this role youll coordinate public and private events support the 13ers Advisory Council manage event communications and logistics and work with partners volunteers and TNC staff to create meaningful experiences. What Youll Bring:

  • Bachelors degree in marketing public relations business or related field and a minimum of 3 years related experience or equivalent combination.

  • Experience overseeing staff volunteers and/or project teams.

  • Experienced in community relations or relationship building.

  • Experience facilitating hybrid and virtual meetings using videoconferencing platforms webinar tools and related event technology.

  • Experience in event planning and management.

  • Demonstrated public speaking experience.

  • Experience working with large databases such as a CRM to enter and pull data.

  • Experience using third-party email marketing system such as MailChimp to create branded emails and newsletters.

  • Possession of a valid drivers license and an acceptable motor vehicle record in accordance with TNC standards.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Multi-cultural experience and/or multi-lingual skills appreciated.

  • Experience in AI to enhance event planning.

  • Strong writing skills and experience creating visually engaging communications materials.

  • Experience serving as a brand ambassador or Community Engagement Specialist for a company or organization.

  • Ability to craft promotional copy for social media and other digital communications channels.

  • Demonstrated experience creating events for a variety of audience from concept to execution.

  • Experienced in developing implementing and measuring strategic outreach plans and programs.

  • Knowledge of current and evolving trends in event management volunteer engagement conservation and public relations.

  • Demonstrated organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Volunteer management and training experience.

This position requires a valid drivers license and compliance with TNCs Auto Safety Program. Employees may not drive Conservancy-owned/leased vehicles rental cars or personal vehicles on behalf of the Conservancy if considered high risk drivers. Employment in this position will be contingent upon completion of a Vehicle Use Agreement which may include a review of the prospective employees motor vehicle record.

Salary Information:

The starting pay range for a candidate selected for this position is generally within the range of $65680 - $69785. This range only applies to candidates whose country of employment is the USA. Where a successful candidates actual pay will fall within this range will be based on a variety of factors including for example the candidates location qualifications specific skills and experience. Please note countries outside the USA would have a different pay range in the local currency based on the local labor market and not tied to USA pay or ranges. Your geographic location will be confirmed during the recruitment.
