Job Summary
Our Event Coordinator will provide administrative support to manage the operations of MGB Enterprise Services Community Division and System-wide employee recognition programs and employee engagement initiatives. Including planning and executing in-person and virtual events handling communications and vendor payments and managing data and administrative functions.Hybrid Schedule: Onsite days at Assembly Row in Somerville are required.
Essential Functions:
- Maintain format and ensure accuracy of data; generate summary reports.
- Schedule and support in-person and virtual events including vendor coordination and material preparation.
- Proofread and distribute event-related communications and manage registration and volunteer logistics.
- Schedule meetings and events and serve as the departments first point of contact.
- Submit and track purchase orders and check requests; liaise with Accounts Payable.
- Follow project timelines and support technical and logistical aspects of remote meetings.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelors Degree Related Field of Study required
Experience
- Office/Corporate event coordination 1-2 years required
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
- Proficient communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with diverse internal and external stakeholders across departments.
- Collaborative and diplomatic mindset with the ability to negotiate maintain professionalism and exercise sound judgment in complex environments.
- Ability to work objectively and in teams demonstrating initiative and adaptability.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office supporting administrative and event coordination tasks.
- Exceptional organizational skills including the ability to prioritize meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Detail-oriented and resilient with the capacity to maintain focus under pressure and deliver high-quality results in a fast-paced setting.
