The part-time temporary Event Assistant will provide day-of-event support for the Heartbeat of Mexico Festival Musco Centers cultural event featuring live music dance performances and art activities scheduled for Sunday September 13 2026. Primary duties will include stage area support artist/talent check-in and assistance volunteer check-in and coordination and runner services for performers and Musco Center for the Arts staff.
Responsibilities
Provide day-of-event support for the Heartbeat of Mexico Festival. Assist with stage preparation ensuring equipment signage and supplies are in place. Support performer and artist check-in and direct talent to designated event locations. Assist with volunteer check-in and serve as a point of contact for volunteer needs during the event. Perform runner services including transporting supplies materials and information between event locations. Support Musco Center staff in maintaining efficient event operations and a positive guest experience.
Required Qualifications
Ability to work a flexible schedule based on event production needs. Availability to work evening and weekend hours as required. Strong interpersonal and customer service skills. Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with performers volunteers staff and guests. Ability to lift and carry materials weighing up to 25 pounds. Ability to work in a fast-paced event environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
