ROLE OVERVIEW:

Responsible to administer awarded project contracts. This includes analyzing blueprints specifications proposals and other documentation and planning directing and coordinating activities of designated projects to ensure projects are safely completed on time and within addition position will consult with clients vendors or other individuals to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues. Must be able to effectively communicate (both written and verbal) to all levels both within and outside the organization in a professional and timely manner.

DUTIES AND/OR RESPONSIBILITIES (summary of components that make up the job) An asterisk (*) indicates essential job functions that cannot be modified in order to fulfill the job requirements.

1. Plans directs and coordinates activities of designated project to ensure goals or objectives of project are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters. Reviews project proposals to determine time frame funding limitations procedures for accomplishing project staffing and allotment of available resources to various phases of project.
2. Establishes work plan and staffing and arranges for recruitment or assignment of project personnel. Confers with project staff to outline work plan and to assign duties responsibilities and scope of authority. Direct and coordinates activities of project personnel. Converse with project personnel to provide technical advice and to resolve problems. Provide leading customer service and technical expertise.
3. Communicate effectively (verbal listening written) and work with difficult people under high stress situations. Self-motivated team-player with good interpersonal skills; ability to develop and maintain positive customer relations and act courteous/respectful of others.
4. Analyze blueprints specifications proposals and other documentation to prepare time cost and labor estimates for products projects or services. Reviews data to determine material and labor requirements and prepare itemized lists. Consults with clients vendors and other individuals to provide cost factors and formulate estimates.
5. Administer negotiated contracts. Coordinate proposals and activities of awarded bid proposals. Track contract performance.
6. Troubleshoot and problem solve situations/problems (material quality equipment operation/repair etc.). Monitor and discuss production problems with co-workers and managers/supervisors.
7. Ensure DOT MSHA OSHA EPA DNR safety and environmental regulation compliance.
8. Always work safely and take action to prevent any and all unsafe actions processes and behaviors.
9. Some travel may be required.
10. Perform other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES (types and extent of knowledge skills or abilities an incumbent must possess to complete the job responsibilities satisfactorily)

1. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
2. Strong organizational skills.
3. Knowledge of MS Office (Word Excel Outlook).
4. Able to work independently and under time constraints.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (minimum educational experience or other relevant job requirements)

1. BS degree in Construction Management or equilivant experience
2. Minimum 2 years project management experience
3. Ability to provide and maintain proper licensure medical card and acceptable driving record

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS (preferred requirements i.e. certifications software use etc.)

1. HCSS preferred
2. Fluency in Microsoft Office

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITITES (types and extent of knowledge skills or abilities an incumbent must possess to complete the job responsibilities satisfactorily)

1. Minimum 2 years project management experience
2. Ability to hold and maintain proper licensure medical card and acceptable driving record.
3. Ability to work flexible shifts including overtime possible nights and some Saturdays.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS (preferred requirements i.e. certifications software use etc.)

1. 2-4 year degree preferred in construction management or engineering from an accredited college or equivalent
