The ideal candidate will have previous experience in Heavy Civil Estimating be organized motivated detail-oriented and driven. Responsibilities and Job Duties:
General knowledge of project search databases.
Communicate with partners and team members regarding new and current projects.
Attend pre bid meetings and bid openings as required.
o Ability to read civil construction plans and specifications.
Ability to perform accurate quantity takeoffs in a timely manner utilizing Agtek suite.
Solicit subcontractors and suppliers and evaluate their proposals.
Prepare civil self-perform estimates in detail utilizing HCSS Heavy Bid software.
Manage bid pricing from all vendors and subcontractors. Review all quotes for completeness responsiveness and identify scope gaps between vendors and subcontractors
Assist in preparation of technical proposals.
Prepare cost analysis of past projects and compare to current estimates. Must be able to work as a team and communicate well internally and externally. Ability to critically think and problem solve as a team member and an individual.
Ability to follow and track ESCOs estimating and preconstruction process. Manage estimating forms to facilitate bid and leadership reviews of every estimate.
Qualifications
5 years experience in heavy civil estimating is required.
Engineering or CM degree a plus but not required. Relative experience is acceptable.
Experience with estimating projects above $5 million dollars is required.
Experience with HCSS Heavy Bid or similar estimating software is required
Experience with takeoff software such as Agtek Carlson or Trimble is required
Experience with Microsoft Suite is required.
Experience with Primavera P6 is a plus.
Experience with Spectrum Accounting software a plus.
