About the Role

TheEstimator prepares timely accurate estimates and helps keep Winters biddingprocess running smoothly. Reporting to the Director of Preconstruction thisrole works closely with subcontractors Operations and the preconstructionteam to deliver complete competitive bids.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate quantity takeoffs and estimates for all scopes of work
• Solicit subcontractor bids and build relationships with quality subcontractors keeping the subcontractor database up to date
• Manage bid documents bid day setup and tracking of bid results
• Coordinate with Operations to make sure estimates are complete and share buyout results and bid feedback with subcontractors
• Assist with presenting estimates to owners and architects

Qualifications

• 0-3 years of commercial estimating experience with a general contractor
• Experience performing quantity takeoffs and preparing estimates across multiple trades
• Proficiency with estimating and takeoff software
• Strong attention to detail and clear communication skills
• LEED accreditation or willingness to obtain it
