Privacy Policy and Privacy Notice for California Residents located at Planning Paralegal Job Details:

Snell & Wilmer is seeking a full-time Estate Planning Paralegal to join its Private Client Services Practice Group in Phoenix. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting estate and trust planning matters involving high-net-worth individuals families fiduciaries and closely held businesses. The position requires strong organizational and communication skills attention to detail sound judgment and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

The position responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:

  • Assist attorneys with estate planning trust administration probate and estate administration matters.
  • Prepare and revise estate planning documents including trusts wills powers of attorney healthcare directives beneficiary designations and related documents.
  • Assist with trust funding asset retitling wealth-transfer planning and closely held business entities.
  • Prepare probate and estate administration documents inventories accountings notices and related filings.
  • Gather and organize financial tax asset valuation and client information.
  • Assist with estate gift generation-skipping transfer and fiduciary income tax matters and supporting documentation.
  • Coordinate with clients trustees beneficiaries financial institutions accountants advisors and other professionals.
  • Track assets distributions expenses tax obligations court requirements and important deadlines.
  • Maintain client and matter files and assist with matter opening closing billing and document management.
  • Proactively identify missing information potential issues and upcoming deadlines.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Baccalaureate degree and paralegal certificate from ABA-accredited paralegal training program or equivalent combination of education and experience required
  • At least 2 years of paralegal experience in estate and trust planning or equivalent experience
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize assignments while delivering consistent quality work-product to both attorneys and clients
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to self-start
  • Ability to work independently with appropriate supervision and to seek help when needed
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
