Job Summary
Candidate Profile: We are looking for a contract resource who ideally brings:
- Workday Payroll Certification (preferred)
- Experience processing payroll in a K-12 environment (preferred)
- Payroll leadership experience particularly supporting a team through a Workday go-live transition
The ideal candidate will combine deep functional payroll expertise with practical leadership capabilities-someone who can both execute detailed work and provide structure direction and accountability during this transition.
We are seeking a qualified candidate for the role of ERP Workday Payroll Coordinator to support our Financial Services/Payroll department in the implementation of Workday.
Role Overview & Expectations:
- Provide support for payroll testing including data validation and issue resolution during parallel testing
- Contribute to the development of SOPs training materials and operational readiness documentation
- Offer guidance on payroll best practices to help prepare the team for go-live
- Build strong working relationships with the existing team to lead indirectly and support execution without direct authority
Team Structure:
- The candidate will work closely with Jeffco payroll staff as well as our system integrator (Accenture)
- This role is collaborative in nature and will complement-not direct-the work of the SI and internal team members
