ERP Finance Architect, Accounting Transformation Group

Amazon is seeking an experienced ERP Finance Solution Architect to lead application ownership solution delivery and continuous improvement for critical ERP capabilities supporting Amazons global finance and accounting operations. This leader will play a key role in driving ERP transformation initiatives improving scalability and controllership and ensuring finance applications meet the needs of a rapidly growing and complex business.
The ideal candidate combines strong ERP product and program leadership with deep understanding of finance processes application management and enterprise systems. This role requires close partnership with Accounting Finance Product Engineering Internal Controls and business stakeholders to define requirements prioritize enhancements manage delivery and ensure ERP capabilities support both current operational needs and long-term transformation goals.
This position is well suited for a leader who can operate at both strategic and execution levels translating business problems into scalable system solutions driving cross-functional alignment and delivering measurable business outcomes in a highly ambiguous and fast-paced environment.

Key job responsibilities
Own the application strategy roadmap and execution for assigned ERP capabilities supporting finance and accounting processes.
Partner with Accounting Finance FinTech and business stakeholders to understand pain points define priorities and translate business requirements into scalable system solutions.
Lead end-to-end delivery of ERP enhancements issue resolution and transformation initiatives across configuration integration testing deployment and post-launch support.
Drive application governance change management and prioritization across competing business needs while balancing speed risk and long-term scalability.
Ensure ERP solutions support strong controllership compliance auditability and operational excellence across global finance processes.
Identify process inefficiencies and system gaps and lead efforts to simplify workflows reduce manual effort and improve user experience.
Work closely with technical teams to influence architecture integration design data flows and system extensibility while ensuring business needs are clearly represented.
Support large-scale finance transformation programs including ERP modernization process standardization and migration from legacy tools or workflows.
Lead stakeholder communication across senior leaders business owners and partner teams providing clear updates risks decisions and trade-offs.
Mentor team members and contribute to a culture of ownership high standards continuous learning and customer obsession.

An ERP Finance Solution Architect at Amazon leads large-scale finance transformation by modernizing ERP capabilities replacing legacy processes and standardizing workflows across finance and accounting teams. Accounting Transformation Group drives initiatives that modernize accounting processes improve controllership and enable scalable growth across Amazon. The team works at the intersection of accounting finance process design and technology to build better mechanisms improve financial operations and support new business models with strong and efficient financial foundations.

- Bachelors degree in accounting information systems finance or equivalent
- 10 years of experience architecting implementing and managing enterprise ERP platforms (Oracle SAP or equivalent) including solution design systems integration application support and modernization programs.

- CPA or MBA
- Experience coordinating and leading large-scale Digital or Global IT Transformation initiatives
- Experience managing accounting/finance process improvement and/or technology projects with aggressive schedules
- Experience influencing multiple stakeholders and leading cross functional teams across geographies and business units

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience qualifications and location.
