Equipment Operator

Location: Carnesville GA

Amteck is seeking a skilled and motivated Construction Equipment Operator to join our team in Carnesville Georgia. The ideal candidate will safely operate and maintain a variety of construction equipment used in electrical construction activities. Previous equipment operation experience is required and electrical construction experience is preferred but not required.

• Operate and maintain construction equipment including excavators backhoes trenchers skid steers augers and other heavy machinery.
• Perform excavation trenching grading and material handling activities in support of electrical construction projects.
• Follow project plans specifications and safety requirements to complete assigned tasks efficiently and accurately.
• Conduct daily equipment inspections and routine preventive maintenance to ensure safe and reliable operation.
• Work closely with supervisors foremen and field crews to support project goals and schedules.
• Identify and report equipment issues site hazards and safety concerns promptly.
• Assist with general labor duties as needed including material handling site preparation and cleanup.
• Maintain a strong commitment to workplace safety and compliance with all company and project safety standards.

• Previous experience operating construction equipment in a commercial industrial or utility construction environment.
• Knowledge of safe equipment operation practices and basic equipment maintenance.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to changing project needs.
• Electrical construction experience is a plus but not required.
• Valid drivers license preferred.
