Your Opportunity: Taylor Visual Impressions is looking for a skilled Equipment Operator (Finishing) to manage both finishing equipment and Guillotine Cutters in a fast-paced environment. Youll take the lead on complex finishing jobs perform color calibrations and ensure high-quality output throughout the production run.
Your Shift:
- 4x10 Shift (Monday - Thursday)
- 2:30 PM - 1:00 AM
- Read and interpret job tickets to set up finishing and press equipment correctly
- Operate a variety of equipment including folding stitching coiling cutting gluing and digital presses
- Conduct color calibration and maintain consistent color output on digital presses
- Inspect work for quality assurance throughout the production process
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting to minimize downtime
- Track inventory place finished goods in designated areas and maintain accurate labels
- Coordinate with production leads to meet job deadlines
- Follow all safety and housekeeping procedures
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work independently
- Solid understanding of production workflows and quality standards
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple jobs under time constraints
- Basic math and measurement skills
- Dependable punctual and open to flexible shifts/overtime
- Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information and ideas so others will understand
- Regularly required to remain in a stationary position
- Constantly operates machinery and handles products including print materials
- Frequently required to move inside the facility
- Regularly move up to 25 pounds (lift push pull and/or carry)
We Would Also Prefer:
- Experience in a commercial printing packaging or manufacturing environment
- Familiarity with digital press platforms and color management processes
- Experience performing basic equipment adjustments and preventative maintenance
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing 5S or continuous improvement principles
- Experience using job tracking inventory or production management systems
- Ability to train or assist less experienced team members
- Forklift certification or experience operating material handling equipment
- Strong attention to detail with a proven record of producing high-quality work
