Equipment Engineer Intern Summer 2027

NXPs Technology & Operations organization plays an essential role in the companys success by ensuring the delivery of high quality scalable cost-competitive technologies and supply to create a competitive advantage for our customers.

Primary Location: Full time 12 weeks on site at Austin Technology and Manufacturing Center (ATMC) 3501 Ed Bluestein Austin TX

Job Responsibilities:

• Drive a specific project within the Equipment Engineering team appropriate in time (less than 3 months generally) scope and technical knowledge (engineering skill needed but minimal semiconductor expertise) to an intern
• Learn about the semiconductors and maintenance generally the fab way of work and the Equipment Engineering role
• Report out at the end to senior management about the results of the project benefit to NXP and what was learned

Job Qualifications:

• The candidate must be pursuing a Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering Mechanical preferred
• Prefer Dec 2027 and May 2028 graduation dates
• Demonstrated hands-on experience in electromechanical system construction repair and/or maintenance
