Epicor Financial Consultant

Our client an established manufacturing organization is seeking an experienced Epicor Kinetic Finance Consultant to support an ERP modernization initiative involving an upgrade from a legacy Epicor Vantage environment to Epicor Kinetic Cloud.

This is not simply a technical upgrade. The organization is using the transition as an opportunity to clean up legacy data review existing accounting processes strengthen financial controls and improve how Epicor is utilized across the business.

The ideal consultant will bring deep Epicor Kinetic accounting and finance implementation experience along with the ability to work hands-on with the clients accounting and finance team. This person should be comfortable both providing guidance and actively performing implementation tasks related to configuration data preparation testing reporting and go-live readiness.

• Serve as the Epicor Finance subject matter expert throughout the Kinetic implementation and upgrade.
• Review and assist with configuration of Epicor Kinetic financial and accounting functionality.
• Evaluate existing finance processes and recommend improvements based on Epicor Kinetic best practices.
• Review and validate company configuration GL controls chart of accounts product groups part classes posting rules and related financial structures.
• Support Accounts Payable Accounts Receivable General Ledger and Cost Accounting configuration and testing.
• Assist with manufacturing-related financial processes including inventory valuation costing WIP material transactions labor and production-related accounting.
• Identify and clean up legacy financial and master data prior to migration.
• Perform and support Epicor DMT exports data cleanup validation and uploads.
• Review master files and identify data quality or configuration issues that could impact the new environment.
• Develop and execute finance-related testing scenarios including transaction testing and validation of GL postings.
• Assist with reconciliation and validation of converted financial data.
• Support user acceptance testing and help troubleshoot issues identified by accounting and finance users.
• Review existing SSRS reports and assist with report troubleshooting modifications and validation as needed.
• Work closely with internal accounting operations IT and external implementation resources.
• Assist with cutover planning go-live preparation and post-go-live financial validation.
• Help ensure the finance team is prepared to successfully operate within the new Epicor Kinetic Cloud environment.

• Strong hands-on experience implementing or upgrading Epicor Kinetic within accounting and finance.
• Experience supporting Epicor implementations within a manufacturing environment.
• Deep understanding of Epicor financial functionality including:
  • General Ledger / GL Controls
  • Accounts Payable
  • Accounts Receivable
  • Cost Accounting
  • Product Groups
  • Part Classes
  • Company Configuration
  • Financial posting and reconciliation
• Strong understanding of the relationship between manufacturing transactions and financial postings within Epicor.
• Hands-on experience using Epicor DMT for data extraction cleanup validation and uploads.
• Experience with ERP data conversion master data cleanup and migration activities.
• Ability to develop and execute financial testing scenarios and validate results.
• Experience reviewing troubleshooting and modifying SSRS reports.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work directly with accounting and finance users.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned implementation activities rather than serving strictly in an advisory capacity.

• Previous experience with Epicor Vantage particularly Vantage 8.x.
• Experience upgrading legacy Epicor environments to Epicor Kinetic Cloud.
• Experience supporting organizations undergoing significant data cleanup and business process improvement as part of an ERP implementation.
• Accounting finance or cost accounting background within manufacturing.
• Experience supporting ERP cutover and go-live activities.
• Located in Massachusetts or the Northeast is helpful but not required.

The ideal consultant is someone who understands both Epicor Kinetic and manufacturing accounting and is willing to roll up their sleeves and work directly alongside the clients finance team.

This engagement requires more than recommending what should be done. The consultant will be expected to help configure clean load test troubleshoot reconcile and prepare the organization for go-live.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Epicor Finance Consultant seeking a flexible part-time engagement where their expertise can have a direct impact on a major ERP modernization initiative.

Location: Remote with on-site needed Massachusetts / Northeast preferred
Duration: 36 months
Hours: Approximately 10-15 per week possibly more
