Job Summary

AECOM is seeking a field Environmental Scientist to support in our Seattle Washington office. We are seeking an Environmental Scientist II with hands-on experience supporting environmental compliance field investigations sampling reporting and regulatory documentation. The ideal candidate should be able to work independently in the field communicate clearly with project teams and support permitting inspections audits and environmental management activities.

Job Summary/Responsibilities:

  • Conduct field investigations including environmental sampling and site assessments while adhering to safety protocols.

  • Prepare accurate field documentation such as logs notes and chain-of-custody forms.

  • Support environmental compliance activities including permitting inspections audits and corrective actions.

  • Collaborate with project teams to deliver high-quality reports and regulatory documentation.

  • Coordinate with subcontractors and laboratories to ensure timely and accurate data collection.

  • Maintain schedules and budgets for assigned tasks while ensuring quality standards are met.


Qualifications :

Minimum Requirements:

  • BA/BS 2 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

  • Due to the nature of work US citizenship is required.

  • As a condition of employment selected candidate must pass a Motor Vehicle Records review.  

  • Must pass a State and Federal criminal history/security background check.

  • Candidate must be able to meet medical clearance requirements of an OSHA (HAZWOPER) medical surveillance physical exam.

Preferred Qualification

  • 4 years working on large site investigation and remediation projects.

  • 40-hour HAZWOPER certification or willingness to obtain.

  •  Familiarity with environmental regulations and permitting processes.

  • Experience with environmental field instrumentation and data collection tools.

  • Knowledge of QA/QC procedures and best practices for field documentation.
