This position helps maintain a safe work environment while ensuring compliance with OSHA EPA TCEQ and all applicable federal state and local role works closely with production welding and fabrication maintenance and management teams to identify hazards reduce risk investigate incidents and promote a proactive culture of safety throughout the facility. The anticipated application window will close on October 13 Tasks Responsibilities & Key AccountabilitiesConduct facility studies environmental surveys and monitoring programs to evaluate air water soil and ecosystem environmental incidents issues and concerns to identify potential hazards assess risks and recommend corrective implement and maintain environmental policies procedures and protection programs that support regulatory compliance and organizational environmental impact assessments audits technical reports and regulatory documentation to support informed and deliver environmental training and awareness programs that promote compliance sustainability and best practices across the waste management programs pollution prevention initiatives and sustainable resource utilization as the primary liaison with regulatory agencies community representatives stakeholders and internal business partners to maintain transparency and positive working environmental permitting compliance monitoring and reporting activities to ensure adherence to applicable federal state and local and manage environmental risk assessment and mitigation programs to minimize operational and environmental analyse and report environmental performance metrics while driving continuous improvement and sustainability strategic environmental leadership across business units or projects ensuring alignment with corporate sustainability goals environmental standards and long-term business QualificationsBachelors degree in environmental science Environmental Engineering Natural Sciences or a closely related of three (3) years of experience managing environmental compliance programs within industrial manufacturing recycling or similar regulated knowledge of federal state and local environmental regulations permitting requirements and compliance communication strategic thinking analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to effectively interface and negotiate with regulatory agencies and other developing implementing and maintaining environmental management systems and compliance programs including field inspections audits and regulatory knowledge and practical experience with stormwater management hazardous materials hazardous and non-hazardous waste management wastewater compliance and aboveground petroleum storage tank in electronic environmental reporting systems data management platforms and compliance tracking QualificationsMasters degree in environmental science Engineering Biology Geology or related fieldsHAZWOPER ISO 14001 CHMM CSP CPR or other relevant environmental and safety certificationsExperience in the metal recycling scrap processing steel manufacturing or related industrial sectors is implementing or maintaining ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems is English/ Spanish is Skills Abilities & CompetenciesDemonstrate analytical and problem-solving skills to assess environmental health and safety risks identify root causes and develop effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to prepare complex reports correspondence memoranda presentations and deliver clear information to diverse to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional and interdisciplinary teams to achieve organizational attention to detail in conducting inspections audits monitoring activities and ensuring regulatory to identify unsanitary conditions recognize potential public health and safety risks and recommend appropriate corrective to collect analyse interpret and evaluate technical and environmental data to develop recommendations policies and continuous improvement to interpret and communicate findings from complex technical reports regulations and compliance ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with government agencies regulatory officials community representatives business partners and internal ConditionsManufacturing/factory environment.
