Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and enforce EHS policies and procedures in compliance with local state federal regulations.
- Ensure compliance with workers compensation laws.
- Support return-to-work programs and accommodations for injured employees.
- Maintain first aid supplies and ensure readiness for emergencies.
- Supply first aid training for specific employees.
- Conduct regular safety audits inspections and risk assessments to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions.
- Lead incident investigations root cause analysis and implement preventive measures.
- Coordinate safety training programs for employees and management.
- Monitor environmental impact and ensure proper waste management emissions control and resource conservation.
- Maintain accurate records of safety incidents inspections and compliance documentation.
- Provide immediate first aid and emergency response to injured employees on-site.
- Assess injury severity and determine appropriate next steps including medical referral if necessary.
- Facilitate workers compensation claims process ensuring timely reporting and proper documentation.
- Stay current with industry regulations and best practices and communicate updates to relevant teams.
- Promote a safety-first culture through engagement and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Effective interpersonal skills to engage employees at all levels.
- Quick decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
- Compassionate and supportive approach to injured employees.
- Organizational skills to manage documentation and claims
- Bachelors degree in Environmental Science Occupational Health and Safety or related field.
- Proven experience in EHS management ideally within a manufacturing industrial or corporate environment.
- Knowledge of OSHA EPA and other relevant regulations.
- Experience in injury response safety or related fields preferred.
- Knowledge of workers compensation procedures and regulations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism and confidentiality.
- Strong analytical problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to conduct training and foster a safety-conscious workplace.
