Entry Level ButcherFull Time Hourly Estimated pay range $18.60 to $23.55 depending on qualifications and experienceMust be at least 18 years and olderPosition Description:Meat Cutter Level III is an entry level meat cutter with knowledge in one of the following areas: chop meat pork/lamb/veal/ beef or gourmet. Meat products are prepared according to standards and customer preference including cutting weighting and trimming a wide variety of meats. Team members work safely and adhere to all food safety and sanitation standards in each area of the department to provide customers with the highest quality day-to-day: Cutting and preparing meat products while safely operating equipmentCustom trim meats to customer specificationsExamine cases and prepare production list based on day of the week being mindful of sale itemsMaintaining filling and rotating products in the meat casesMoving meat from cooler to cutting areaProviding excellent customer service by greeting customers and responding to questionsDismantle equipment for cleaning and reassemble for productionTraining other team members as neededAdhere to all health sanitation and safety regulationsAssist in other duties as assignedQualifications:18 years of age or olderNo meat cutter experience required but requires product knowledgeSafely use/operate knives band saws grinders cube steak machine and meat wrapperGreat customer serviceGood oral communication skillsWhat you bring to the team:Great work ethicProblem solverSelf-motivatorFlexibleHonestWorking Conditions:The temperature in the department is colder than room temperature due to the products being highly perishableThe position requires frequent walking standing lifting pushing and pulling with a maximum of 100lbs and occasionally climbing and :Greet customers with a friendly smile and positive attitude ensuring that each customer feels welcome and :Collaborate with team members to ensure the smooth operation of the store offering assistance and support where :Improve and maintain the efficiency of the store in order to reach success.
