Job Summary
Mass General Brigham Digital is seeking an experienced Enterprise Architect with a passion for healthcare strong analytical and communication skills and the ability to shape roadmaps and decisions for digital systems in an academic medical environment. This role is ideal for someone who learns quickly adapts to changing technology demands and enjoys collaborating across teams to support a complex healthcare system.Reporting to the Chief Enterprise Architect the Enterprise Architect will be part of a cross-functional team responsible for stewarding Mass General Brigham Digitals capability model reference architectures and platform roadmaps.
The ideal candidate will partner with Digital and business leaders solution architects and project teams to advance strategic objectives strengthen architectural governance and support platform rationalization across the technology lifecycle.
Summary
The Enterprise Architect provides technical leadership to professionals is accountable for the performance and results of multiple related teams and develops plans that contribute to departmental strategy priorities and outcomes.
This role proactively and holistically guides digital leaders platform owners product managers product owners and Digital experience leaders through new technology initiatives. The Enterprise Architect supports technology strategy development based on business strategies outcomes and capabilities with decisions guided by resource availability and organizational objectives.
The Enterprise Architect develops technology strategies and provides high-level architecture for the Digital department including on-premises environments cloud hosting SaaS-hosted third-party applications network connectivity device strategy integration platforms databases and DevOps capabilities. This role helps ensure strategies are implemented in accordance with industry-leading practices and established Mass General Brigham principles and governance.
Essential Functions
Define and maintain multi-year roadmaps to operationalize infrastructure for new products services and platforms in the assigned area.
Align technology strategy across business and technology leadership.
Develop high- and mid-level designs that outline the structure and components of solutions.
Ensure different components and systems work together seamlessly.
Address security concerns and implement measures to protect solutions.
Manage relationships with technology partners including periodic business reviews collaboration on platform enhancements and shared roadmap development.
Support the Chief Enterprise Architect and other enterprise groups to ensure infrastructure meets requirements policies and procedures.
Ensure architecture blueprints are published and communicated across the organization.
Communicate and educate the organization on enterprise architecture.
Support innovation at scale by partnering Innovation teams with Infrastructure Platforms and Cloud teams.
Lead the technology proof-of-concept portfolio and backlog to ensure critical innovation activities are coordinated prioritized scoped and executed with clear recommendations.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in a related field of study required; masters degree in a related field of study preferred.
- Experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree.
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert Microsoft Certification Program
- 810 years of related experience required.
- Five or more years of professional IT experience in a healthcare setting.
- Three or more years leading Enterprise Architecture functions.
- Ability to adapt to changing business needs operating models and emerging technologies.
- Ability to guide and influence others internally or externally to adopt a different point of view.
- Ability to identify and solve complex operational or cross-functional problems by leveraging appropriate resources within or outside the department.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated expertise in technology and systems integration.
- Proficient knowledge of data governance and compliance.

- Hybrid role with onsite work required; candidates must be flexible based on weekly or monthly business needs.
- MondayFriday schedule during Eastern business hours.
- On remote workdays employees must work from a stable secure and compliant workstation in a quiet environment. Teams video is required and must be accessed using Mass General Brigham-provided equipment.
