Summary

At KCNSC the Enterprise Applications Architect is an expert at systems architecture and IT operations. The ideal candidate has strong experience managing and modernizing enterprise application portfolios across Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Manufacturing Execution System (MES) Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) IT Service Management (ITSM) low-code platforms and custom applications. They bring expertise in modernization strategies APIfirst design and integration patterns that enable scalable reusable services and reduce system coupling. They can architect on-premises cloud and hybrid environments while applying sound governance secure engineering practices and effective lifecycle management. Strong leadership crossfunctional influence and the ability to connect architectural decisions to business value are essential.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Evaluates the impact of emerging technology and business trends.
  • Drives innovation by prioritizing opportunities based on significant business impact.
  • Delivers impactful roadmaps that define strategy and improve integration between infrastructure applications data and processes.
  • Lead enterprise critical innovation projects that require extensive knowledge of advanced techniques in multiple technical disciplines.
  • Transforms business requirements into technical architecture requirements and designs architectures which are scalable robust and manageable.
  • Provides technical guidance or business process expertise technical leadership coaching and mentoring to team members.
  • Determines the technology system architecture and functional design needed to support and meet company business goals.
You Must Have
  • Bachelors degree in Information Systems Computer Science Computer Engineering Engineering or Physical Science
  • 9 or more years of relevant experience while demonstrating an increasing progression of responsibilities including demonstrated work in enterprise architecture and team leadership
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
  • United States Citizenship
  • Ability to work on-site as directed by management and as determined by the needs of the business
  • Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this job
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) security clearance (some positions require additional DOE designations)
We Value
  • 4 years of experience with enterprise application portfolios (Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Manufacturing Execution System (MES) Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) IT Service Management (ITSM) low-code platforms and custom applications) and modernization paths
  • 4 years of experience designing and implementing APIfirst architectures that enable scalable reusable integrations and reduce enterprise-wide coupling.
  • Experience with application architecture design across on-premises cloud and hybrid environments
