Job Summary

Set up test and analyze test results of motors/systems to Agency specifications as well as assist with updating andfabrication ofautomated test equipment in an ISO 17025 Accredited Test Lab.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Performautomated and manualtestson electric motorstodetermineproper design and function.

  • Assistwith lab maintenancethat includescalibrating test equipment andorganizinglabstationsto 6S standards.

  • Prepare thermocouple wire for applications to motors (roll strip and weld)

  • Attach thermocouple wire to motors to measure temperature

  • Unbox and check motors into the lab

  • Lift motors (up to 50 pounds) and secure them in a test fixture for testing

Requirements:

  • Associates degree in Engineeringcompleted orin process or 2 years related experience with electrical mechanical devices

  • Desire to learn new processes and systems

  • Ability to make spreadsheets and graphs

  • Work as a supportive team member

  • Familiarity and ability to effectively use electronic test equipment multimeters oscilloscopes etc.

  • Good hands-on skills such as solderingandmechanical assembly

  • Ability to collaborate with multi-functional teams

  • Good communicationskills.(written and verbal)

  • Strong technical and problem-solving skills
