The Opportunity
The Engineering Project Manager oversees and manages engineering projects within engineering and manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for leading cross-functional teams managing project scope timelines resources and budgets and ensuring projects are completed efficiently effectively and in alignment with technical quality safety and stakeholder expectations.
What you will do
- Develop and manage detailed project plans including scope objectives timelines resources and budgets.
- Coordinate all phases of engineering projects from conception through completion ensuring projects are delivered on time within scope and within budget.
- Lead motivate and support cross-functional teams including engineers technicians and support staff; assign responsibilities set expectations and monitor progress.
- Facilitate communication and collaboration among project team members and stakeholders to maintain alignment and resolve issues.
- Oversee the design development and implementation of engineering solutions while ensuring technical standards and quality requirements are met.
- Review and approve technical documentation designs specifications and related project materials.
- Engage with clients suppliers and internal departments to gather requirements provide project updates manage expectations and address changes in scope.
- Identify monitor and manage project risks and issues; develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact on project success.
- Evaluate project performance and outcomes to identify opportunities for improvement and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Ensure projects comply with applicable regulations standards and safety requirements while promoting adherence to safety protocols.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Engineering Mechanical Engineering Electrical Engineering Industrial Engineering or a related field required.
- Masters degree and/or PMP certification preferred.
- Proven experience as an Engineering Project Manager or in a similar project management role within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of engineering principles manufacturing processes project management methodologies industry standards regulations and best practices.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously prioritize effectively and deliver results under pressure.
- Excellent leadership communication collaboration and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency with project management software and tools such as MS Project Primavera or similar systems.
