Position Summary
TheProject Manager Engineeringis responsible for managing the engineering execution of utility-scale solar and energy storage projects from initial proposal through final drawing package delivery. This role serves as the primary liaison between clients and engineering teams ensuring project deliverables are completed accurately on schedule and in accordance with project requirements. The successful candidate will combine strong technical knowledge project management expertise and exceptional customer service skills to deliver outstanding results.

Essential Responsibilities

Manage multiple engineering projects simultaneously from proposal through project completion.

Coordinate internal and external engineering teams to deliver accurate complete and timely drawing plan sets and design packages.

Serve as the primary point of contact between LPL Solar clients owners and third-party engineering partners.

Prepare engineering proposals develop project scopes and maintain visibility into engineering backlog and resource requirements.

Track project schedules milestones deliverables and client requirements to ensure successful project execution.

Document monitor and follow up on Requests for Information (RFIs) submittals design comments and outstanding project information needs.

Review engineering drawings calculations and design documents for quality completeness constructability and accuracy.

Coordinate interdisciplinary reviews with civil structural electrical and energy storage design teams.

Facilitate project meetings client presentations and design review discussions.

Communicate project status risks and mitigation strategies to clients and internal stakeholders.

Support business development efforts by assisting with technical proposals scope development and customer presentations.

Develop and maintain strong customer relationships through responsive communication and professional service.

Identify project challenges and proactively develop solutions to maintain schedule and deliverables.

Maintain project documentation and ensure compliance with company standards and client requirements.

Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives supporting engineering quality efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering Construction Management or a related technical discipline.

Excellent communication presentation and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.

Proven ability to coordinate multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Strong organizational planning and project management skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Word Excel PowerPoint Outlook and Project.

Proficient in Blue Beam and PDF creation/editing tools.
Proficient in utilizing Procore.

Strong problem-solving analytical and decision-making abilities.

Self-motivated proactive and eager to learn.

Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with internal teams clients consultants and project stakeholders.

Ability to travel as required to support client meetings and project needs.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience supporting utility-scale solar photovoltaic (PV) system design.

Experience supporting battery energy storage system (BESS) design and engineering.

Experience with solar civil engineering design site layout grading drainage and stormwater considerations.

Familiarity with utility-scale EPC project delivery.

Experience coordinating third-party engineering consultants and multidisciplinary design teams.

Working knowledge of applicable codes standards and industry practices related to solar and energy storage systems.
