Will you help us design and build the next generation of Apple products The Apple Acoustics Engineering Project Manager (EPM) team is looking for an EPM to drive the research design development and integration of new best-in-class audio hardware technologies and features into world-renowned Apple products including AirPods iPad iPhone and this critical highly collaborative and visible role the EPM will oversee internal efforts of the Acoustics Hardware Algorithms User Interface (UI) and Validation teams. The EPM will also lead cross-functional coordination with a wide array of external partners within hardware and software engineering and beyond.

The Acoustics EPM defines and drives the build and development plans for audio HW and SW and serves as the primary interface to Apple Acoustics during HW and SW development. EPMs are responsible for managing and communicating project definition development landmarks and schedules and project status in the development of new acoustic are fearless organizers who are ready to work with the highly skilled Acoustic Hardware Software and Mechanical Design teams to identify and resolve potential pitfalls to the schedule and risks to the quality of the is defined in terms of the quality and timeliness of the pre-production builds and the start of mass production advocating for the best overall acoustic performance throughout the organization prioritizing issues and tracking details driving a talented passionate experienced multi-functional team and external suppliers delivering acoustic modules on schedule and facilitating risk management and communicating status and issues to the development team and Apple executives. The candidate should be savvy enough to understand the roles and responsibilities of the key partners and identify partners to efficiently drive key decisions and remain in touch with big picture issues.

Drive module builds to fulfill system engineering build demands. Key contributor to module build planning and and facilitate communication across multiple engineering teams operations industrial design and our vendor partners to meet aggressive quality schedule and cost technical issues u0026 complex design trade-offs. Drive to closure by bringing together key stakeholders; facilitating decision-making discussions to meet overall project risks develop mitigation strategies and facilitate conflict resolution within and between teams focus on top level objectives and develop best course of complex and detailed project schedules for product enclosure and internal mechanical components. Respond quickly to changes and minimize project timely issue resolution and critical path management as top priorities multiple levels of status across a wide spectrum of individual contributors to executive management.

BS Engineering degree in ME/Physics/EE requiredn2-4 years project management experiencenA strong technical background in electrical engineering mechanical engineering acoustics and/or software development

Excellent listening presentation and interpersonal skillsnStrong cross functional coordination and project management skillsnExperience in consumer hardware and softwarenExperience with any of the following is a bonus: speakers microphones receivers audio DSP audio algorithms machine learning and/or consumer/device softwarenAn interest in audionMS degree ME/Physics/EE preferredn2 years project management experience nSelf motivated and proactive with creative and critical thinking to travel internationally to support builds.
